Waterproof Acrylic Sealant is a one part, water based acrylic sealant that cures to a flexible and tough rubber with good adhesion to porous surface without primer. Suitable for sealing and filling gaps or joints where low demands of elongation are required.

1. It is mainly for sealing the gaps or joints interior and exterior, such as doors and window frames, walls, window sills, prefab elements, stairs, skirting, corrugated roof sheets, chimneys, conduit-pipes and roof gutters.

2. It is also can be used on most construction materials, such as brick, concrete, plasterwork, asbestos cement, wood, glass, ceramic tiles, metals, aluminum, zinc and so on.

3. It is not suitable for permanently flexible sealing, for cars or spaces where wet conditions exist, e.g. aquaria, foundations and swimming pools.

Application

Surface treatment: The joint surfaces must be clean and free from dust, rust and grease. Tar and bitumen sub-strates reduce the bonding ability. In order to improve the bonding ability to strongly absorbing porous surfaces, such as stone, concrete, asbestos cement and plasterwork, these surfaces should first be primed with a diluted sealant (1 volume of Acrylic Sealant to 3-5 volumes of water) until the primer to dry completely.

Tools:

Tubes: applicator nozzle and pressure key.              

Cartridges: Sealant Gun.  After using, clean tools immediately with a damp cloth.           

Application temperature: Dont use it at temperature below 0 . 

Directions for use:

Tubes: Twist the cap off the tube and screw the white nozzle applicator onto it. If a cured slug of Acrylic Sealant has formed in the tip of the nozzle, remove this slug with a sharp knife or a screw driver. Bevel the nozzle to provide the required bead diameter. However, the minimum diameter must be 5 mm. Fit the key to the bottom of the tube. Turn the key regularly and slowly to prevent the tube from bursting.

Acrylic Sealant is sensitive to frost and must be kept in tightly closed packing in a frost-proof place. The shelf life is about 2 years when stored in a cool, dry place.

Opened tubes and cartridges should be stored as follows:        

Tube: twist the nozzle applicator off the tube and screw the cap onto it.      

Cartridge: twist off the plastic applicator-nozzle, cover the nozzle end of the cartridge with a plastic film and screw the applicator onto the cartridge again.
